Nobility Clothing

          Nobility mostly wore bright colors, with long lasting materials. Most nobility wore longer jackets with elongated length because, they had greater wealth. Wealthy women wore linen or silk, during the winter they wore petticoats made of fur (otter, cat, or miniver). Their jewelry was lavish and often important; diamonds were very popular in the 14th century. The linings of their clothing were made of fur and animal skin. The wealthy people wore silk, velvet, and a heavy cloth called damask. Everyone had to dress according to their place in society , the wardrobes of the nobility mostly had clothing made of fur and expensive jewlery.
