Peasant Clothing

          Peasants wore long gowns with sleeveless tunics. They also wore long dresses, skirts, leggings that were all made of cotton. Peasant women wore daily cords and sashes for belts.they also wore wimples. Peasants also added simple circle cloaks. Peasant men wore stockings or tunics with. The clothing of the Peasants was usually made of rough wool or linen. Peasant woman spun wool into threads and wove cloth that was turned into clothing for their families. Peasants had only one set of clothing, two at most. Sometimes Peasants wore linen undergarments to offset the uncomfortable clothing.  Men often wore woolen jackets with woolen pants or knickers; the men also wore medium length tunics with their bare legs or stockings.
